How we handle personal data at Sports Group Denmark when applying for a job

This policy applies to Sports Group Denmark and its subsidiaries.

 

WHAT IS THE BASIS AND PURPOSE OF THE COLLECTION OF INFORMATION?

We are responsible for the data we collect about you, ensuring that personal information is collected and processed in accordance with applicable laws at all times. Processing and storage are therefore carried out so that we can conduct a recruitment process and qualify the impression we have of you and your skills. GENERAL INFORMATION PROVIDED

General information:
The personal data we process in connection with the recruitment process typically includes the following general information:

  • First and last name
  • Contact information, including address, phone number, and email address
  • Area you reside in as well as the area you are seeking employment in – geographical location
  • Your application, including your description of yourself and any other information you include
  • CV, including relevant experience and education
  • Transcripts/educational certificates
  • Desired position
  • Any other information you choose to provide us, including, for example, a link to your LinkedIn profile, recommendations from previous employers, and a photo

If you continue in the recruitment process after an interview, we may contact references. The legal basis for obtaining, processing, and storing is based on a legitimate interest in being able to assess your professional and social skills in relation to a specific position. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Regarding references:
Objective and subjective information from references (former and current employers), which you have provided, is only obtained with your consent, in accordance with Section 12(3) of the Data Protection Act. Your consent can be withdrawn at any time. The information obtained is processed based on our legitimate interest in the objective information about, for example, your period of employment, tasks, etc., as well as the subjective information about, for example, your professional and social skills to assess whether you are suitable for the position. This is in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Regarding job agents created via Sports Group Denmark:
In connection with the creation of a job agent at Sports Group Denmark, you must provide at least an email address, as otherwise it would not be possible to send relevant job offers. Processing and storage of this data are carried out in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) and (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

 

STORAGE AND DELETION

We store your information for as long as necessary for the purposes we collected and processed it. Depending on your affiliation with us, we store information, documents, and other relevant records about you, in accordance with the statute of limitations and the provisions of the data protection regulation, for at least five years after your employment has ceased.

 

CONSENT AND DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION

You can withdraw your consent:
You can withdraw your consent for Sports Group Denmark to process your personal data at any time by contacting Sports Group Denmark HR. However, please note that we may not be able to offer you employment, as the relevant data has been collected for employment purposes. Even if you withdraw consent, please note that in certain cases, we may still process your information, for example, if necessary to fulfill an agreement we have entered with you, or because we are required to do so by law.

Right to receive your information (data portability):
If Sports Group Denmark processes information based on your consent or because of an agreement, you may have the right to receive the information you have provided to us in an electronic format.
