Sports Group Denmark offers a wide range of products in more than 30 different product categories which require many different production facilities with different professional expertise. Therefore, we have quite a large supplier network that we cooperate with.

We value close and long-term relations and cooperation with our suppliers. By having our own employees in China and Bangladesh, we have a strong local presence and as part of our procedure we visit production facilities on a regular basis and always before starting up new suppliers. Visits to the production factories are part of our due diligence program. This way we ensure that our suppliers are compliant and live up to our requirements within ESG, quality, and price before we are entering a contract. Requirements examples:

Signing our Code of Conduct (COC), Supplier Manual and Terms of Business Agreement (TBA)

Onsite factory visits and Quality Control by an employee from Sports Group Denmark or Sports Group Asia.

Third party verified social audits – either amfori BSCI, SMETA/SEDEX or WRAP.

Answering our ESG supplier questionnaire

All existing suppliers are annually or biannually assessed on the same parameters both by Sports Group Denmark employees and through a third-party social audit.

By having our own employees in China and Bangladesh, we have a close cooperation with our suppliers and can communicate with them in the local language. Every other year we arrange a supplier conference where we inform our suppliers about the status of SGD, our plans and goals for the future, and provide training for them in ESG, upcoming legislation as well as product, performance, and chemical requirements.
